A Reading for Charity

A stellar cast including Ed Asner, Lucie Arnaz, Levi Kreis, Gregory Jbara and a host of other national, regional and local (to Grand Rapids, Michigan) presented “The Santa Hat” exclusively on Broadway on Demand. ALL PROCEEDS from this event were divided equally and donated to: The Ed Asner Family Center, The Grand Rapids Combined Theatre Scholarship Fund housed at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation , The Actors Fund and Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.

An unemployed and desperate man receives a gift that takes him back in time where he must choose between financial prosperity to save his home and the “things” of life or forgiveness to save himself.

Nationally known and local talent join in a virtual read of this heartwarming movie script in support of four charities.

The setting: Grand Rapids, MI in 2008 and the fictional Herpolburg’s Department Store in 1967.
